Meet Dr. Amy

Founder
I built Flourish Cognitive Health because most people start thinking about dementia prevention at least a decade too late. I’m here to change that, especially for women.
Flourish Cognitive Health also exists to give family carers and caregivers, often neglected in medical care, a real, structured, impactful and evidence-based plan before any crisis begins. Family members provide an estimated 19 billion hours of unpaid care to loved ones with Alzheimer’s and other dementias every year. About 70% of these carers and caregivers are women who are between the ages of 35 to 65 years old and are oftentimes working full time at great cost to their own brain health.
“When dementia touches a family, it changes everything.”
I’ve spent my career walking with families during their most frightening moments. The hardest ones were navigating a new diagnosis of dementia, trying to understand what comes next and wondering what could have been done differently.
As a fellowship-trained geriatrician, I have seen dementia at every stage. What strikes me again and again is that we miss the window for meaningful prevention. Most people do not realize that brain changes associated with dementia begin 20 years before any symptom appears. That means that your 40s and 50s are not too early to act. They are exactly the right time.
Now that I am a board-certified Lifestyle Medicine physician, I feel honored to empower my patients with structured, personalized brain health plans that are proven to decrease the risks of memory loss. This emerging, innovative approach to brain health I call Cognitive Medicine is practical and based on real-life rather than pricey medications.
“I created Flourish because prevention shouldn’t be an afterthought. It should be the foundational plan.”
Why Is This Different?
Traditional medicine typically waits for symptoms before addressing memory loss. At Flourish, we flip that model. We assess your risk early, identify what’s driving it, and build a personalized, measurable, physician-led plan that targets the real biological levers of brain health, before there is anything to treat.
